Parting the Waves

There is a marina in Maple Bay, BC. Boats visit from all parts of the world. One day, while visiting our boat we noticed a 150’ sailing vessel from the U.S. tied to the docks. On her bow was a rare sight: a sculptured mahogany mermaid four feet long. The couple had commissioned the piece as a retirement gift to themselves as the boat was now their new home.
